John Gondak begins his third year as the head coach of Penn State cross country/track & field as the 2016-2017 school year starts. 

Gondak's résumé while with the Blue and White - which can be matched by few middle distance mentors in the country - includes 27 first team All-Americans, 29 Big Ten Champions, 31 Penn State records, five Big Ten Freshman of the Year honorees, nine Penn Relays victories, and three sub-4:00 milers.
